About Me

My name is Ruki Panjwani (she/her), I’m a licensed professional counselor associate and the founder of Amala Counseling, practicing under the supervision of Toni La’Zurs, LPC-S. I provide compassionate support to individuals, couples, and families through both in-person and virtual sessions from Houston, TX.

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, a CACREP-accredited program with a psychodynamic focus. I am a Certified Trauma Practitioner (CTP), a neurodivergent specialist, and a Level Two PET-C practitioner (Pragmatic Experiential Therapy for Couples). I am also trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Martha Beck Life Coaching. Beyond my professional training, I’m a parent, a wife, and a second-generation immigrant. These lived experiences enrich my understanding and inform my sensitivity to the unique relational and cultural histories that shape each client’s journey.
